§ 14.20.040. Juvenile safety on city facilities

  • A. It is unlawful for a parent or legal guardian to allow any child under the age of 17 years to be on any harbor-type facility owned or managed by the city unless accompanied by an adult who assumes the responsibility for the child, and the child must wear a life preserver. Violation of this section shall constitute an infraction punishable by a fine of $50.00. Citations for violation of this subsection shall be issued to the parent or legal guardian of the minor concerned.

    B. It is unlawful for a child under the age of 17 years to be present on any harbor-type facility owned or managed by the city unless accompanied by an adult who assumes the responsibility for the child, and the child must be wearing a life preserver. Violation of this subsection is the minor will be fined 20 hours of community work service.
