§ 2.08.020. Qualifications of councilmembers

Latest version.

A. The councilmembers shall be qualified city voters.

B. The councilmembers shall have been residents and qualified voters of the city or of territory annexed to the city for a period of not less than one year immediately preceding the date of filing declaration of candidacy and nominating petitions for election to the council.

C. A councilmember who ceases to be eligible to be a city voter immediately forfeits his office.
